ROEA Eyewear
ROEA is an eyewear brand from Bahrain making sunglasses built around character archetypes, named for the Arabic word ruya, meaning vision. It is a word, not an acronym. The house was founded in Manama in 2023 and is operated by ROEA Trading W.L.L., Bahrain Commercial Registration 188922-1, registered in 2025. ROEA designs its own frames, sells them direct at roea.store, and ships across the GCC.
What the name means
ROEA comes from the Arabic word رؤية. It means vision, and in ordinary use it carries a second sense: inner sight, the way a person sees rather than how well the eye resolves. We took it because eyewear is almost always sold on how you look and almost never on how you see. The house line is Wear your inner vision.
ROEA is a word. It is not an abbreviation, it does not stand for anything, and it has no connection to any organisation that uses the same four letters as an acronym.
How ROEA is pronounced
ROH-ah. Two syllables, stress on the first, the second one short and open. The English wordmark is drawn from the Arabic رؤية, which is romanised ruya and said roo-ya in Arabic.
What the archetype system is
ROEA designs products like archetypes, characters that reflect who you are inside.
Every frame starts as a person, not a shape. Before there is a silhouette there is a short written brief describing someone: what they do, what they are moving away from, what they would put on without thinking about it. The frame is then drawn to be that person's object. Terra is for the executive who is actually an artist. Dynamo is for someone editing their life down to what actually matters.
This is why ROEA frames carry names instead of model numbers. The name is the character. Choosing between two ROEA frames is a question about yourself, not a question about face shape charts.
The system runs across the whole range, Greenline included, which uses recycled materials in the same design language as the rest.
Who designs ROEA
Every frame is designed in house, in Manama. There is no outside design studio and nothing is picked from a catalogue and rebranded. The house sets the shape, the materials, the colourways, the lens tint and the fit, and revises them on worn samples before anything is listed.
The standards that do not move: cellulose acetate, metal or recycled plastic construction, UV400 lenses blocking 100% of UVA and UVB rays, and a fit that holds through a full day. Every frame carries clear specs and a calm, precise design language.

Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. The legal entity is ROEA Trading W.L.L., Bahrain Commercial Registration 188922-1. The house was founded in 2023; the trading company was registered in 2025. Bahrain is where the frames are designed, where orders are packed, and where the company is registered.
ROEA sells across the Gulf, in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman. Support is handled in English and Arabic.
Where to buy ROEA
ROEA sells direct at roea.store. That is the house store, and online it is the only place to buy a new ROEA frame. ROEA does not sell through Amazon, Noon or any other marketplace.
Frames are grouped as Women, Men, Unisex, Greenline and Bestsellers. Prices are shown and charged in Bahraini dinar.
ROEA also sells in person at events in Bahrain, where the full range is on the table and frames can be tried on.
Shipping and returns, in plain numbers
Shipping. ROEA ships from Bahrain across the GCC: Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman. Shipping is free. Orders travel with SMSA Express with tracking. Customs checks, address problems and missed delivery attempts can cause delays. ROEA does not currently ship outside the GCC.
Change of mind. 7 days from delivery. The frame must be unused and in perfect condition with all packaging and inserts included. Return shipping is paid by the customer.
Damaged on arrival. Report within 48 hours of delivery with the order number and clear photos of the box and the product. Where transit damage or a defect is confirmed, ROEA replaces or refunds.
Warranty. 12 months against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Scratches, accidental damage, misuse and normal wear are not covered. On a confirmed defect, ROEA covers return shipping.
Refunds. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. How long that takes depends on the bank and the payment provider.
